SUCCESS?

Success, what do we mean by success?  Hard to define; more or less a point of view…a mind set.  Well!  Dispensing with definitions, success has come to mean achieving goals, you visualize and want them achieved.

Well! let’s proceed.  None of us have control over all life’s forces, mechanisms, interactions and dynamics, nor control over others, therefore goals maybe realized or not realized even if your effort is sincere and valid.

What is always there is the path to the goal.  The path is a present reality, but the goal is a wish, a want or a need, in some cases an obsession.  A future event though.  It may come or not come.  So, relish and cherish the path, take joy in the making – in the baking – in the stroll and the ride.  In this mental attitude and ambiance, there will be no disappointments, besides, your performance on the path will peak boosting the chances of success in reaching the goal.

To the sincere dancers dancing is a heavenly delight.  And there isn’t a more exhilarating scene than that of dervishes dancing.  Dance your path to the goal.  Joyful it’ll be.  Unify path and goal…in Oneness, no conflict, no sorrow.

DESIRE, WILL AND FREE CHOICE

Objects of desire are infinite.   And, there is no way to satiate desire.  Desire is open ended.  It is an integral part of us, though.  True, therefore, we must understand desire and know it for what it is: an interplay of positives and negatives; the rose and the thorn.  Can’t do without it, but don’t let its magnificent lure and lust claim your whole lot.  Desire imports flavor, spice and fascination, instills passion, brings in runs of ecstasy and pleasure in our lives.  It oftenly expresses and manifests our basic instincts, longing and dreams.  But, we must realize that desire has no free choice and does not belong to free choice.

What belongs to or what comes out of free choice is the will.  But to will your cause and goal, certain qualifications must be met.

Before you start:  Do not violate the first law:  DO NO HARM.  This is the First and Foremost Cosmic Amendment.  Transgressing and violating a cosmic law causes ill and harm to you, others, and the universe:  To mention some:  famine, wars, global warming, hurricane after hurricane, poverty and degradation of the life of the masses globally.  And, sooner or later the harm and grief you engender will reach you and get you.

Second qualification:  On the road you will meet obstacles and traps, what seems to be steep mountains and downslides.  Persevere.   All are construction sites.  The road you are treading is your own road.   No one has ever treaded it before you.   As you step and proceed you are making the road.  And, defeat is not final.  Rise.  Rise.

Third Requirement:  If you see clearly that your path is not leading to where you need to go and you have sincerely persevered with all your heart, mind and energy; re-exercise your free choice by changing direction.  Will another direction, another road.

The beauty about freedom of choice is that it is transforming, metamorphosing, just like life and the innate nature of the cosmos.   Free choice is subject to the law of transiency and change.  The essence of freedom is change.  Constancy and permanency is the anti thesis of freedom and free choice.  Will puts you on the road to forge along, leap, struggle, persevere upright, do your best and keep on going.  But, Do No Harm.  All obstacles that you will certainly meet are construction sites, such is the nature of all roads first trodden; your is.  But if the road becomes impassable and insurmountable, choose another road.  Exercise your free will.

Remember that your will is interconnected to the will of others and the will of the universe and the Almighty Source.  This Source will provide you with increased vision, more power, tenderness, empathy and
will help you rise if you stumble and guide when you seem to have lost your way.
